An evaluation must be completed for the adaptive bicycle to move forward with your application. This is something Katherine will set up with you. You must be able to supply your own transportation to 2930 Campton Hills Road, St. Charles IL 60175 for the evaluation, receiving of bike and if anything else comes up. No exceptions.
We ask if you do receive an adaptive bicycle if the recipient could please write a thank you letter for the adaptive bicycle for our donors (required 2 weeks after acceptance).
We ask for a photo of the individual on the bike shortly after receiving to update the donors.
If for some reason you no longer use or what the adaptive bike YOU MUST donate it back to Project Mobility. We will fix it up if need be and give it to another person in need. There is absolutely no selling of the adaptive bike!
Project Mobility has the right to refuse an application due to the household income.
Once notified the adaptive bike is ready you have 2 weeks to pick up bike.
Participants must agree to have their name, story, and photo a part of all media and press surrounding the event along with participation in the Adaptive Bike Giveaway.
If for some reason a donor steps forward to pay for an adaptive bike on their own you can't back out of the contest. They are more than welcome to donate to Project Mobility noting the individual's name. All of the donation will go towards the individual the donor selects.
There is no guarantee with how long it takes for the adaptive bike to get made and delivered to the individual - the adaptive bike industry is still recovering from the pandemic and still experiencing many delays.
Participants must live near the Chicagoland area.
We have the right at any times to withdraw an applicant if there is any harassment to the Project Mobility staff and/or volunteers.This will not be tolerated.
