Mila is a bright and joyful four-year-old whose smile lights up every room. She was born with a rare neurological condition called STXBP1 disorder, affecting fewer than 300 children worldwide. Mila faces low muscle tone, global developmental delays, and epilepsy, and she cannot yet sit, walk, or speak. Most of her days are spent in therapy, working hard on milestones that many of us take for granted—like holding her head up, using her arms, or learning to move her legs.

Despite these challenges, Mila’s joy and determination are contagious. Her laughter, sparkling curiosity, and resilient spirit inspire everyone around her. She is a little warrior, and her family describes her as a light in their lives and in the lives of everyone who meets her.

An adaptive bike would be life-changing for Mila. It would allow her to strengthen her core and leg muscles while giving her something she’s never had before: freedom of movement. Instead of watching her brothers ride, she could join them, experience the wind on her face, and feel included in the fun. Therapists recommend an adaptive trike to help Mila build strength and coordination in an engaging and joyful way.

These bikes are expensive and not covered by insurance, but receiving one would mean more than just mobility—it would be a symbol of hope, inclusion, and possibility. By supporting Mila, you’re giving her the gift of joy, confidence, connection, and the freedom to experience childhood in a way she’s never had before.
