Londyn loves to move it’s the best “medicine” for her, especially when her muscles sometimes work against her. She thrives outdoors, enjoying the fresh air and the simple joy of being active. One of her favorite moments is sharing a bike ride with her big sister, which brings smiles to both of their faces.
Through therapy sessions at LaRabida, Londyn has been able to use an adaptive bike, and riding along the lakefront on a warm day lights up her world. Like many families with children who have special needs, the cost of adaptive equipment can be overwhelming. Programs like Project Mobility give families hope that their kids can simply enjoy being kids. For Londyn, a bike ride is more than recreation — it’s a little bit of sunshine on a cloudy day.
